Christmas spirit is rampant!

Christmas is coming fast and Dad decorated the house! Here are some lovely photos of our living room and the people who live in it :) Everyone around here is going nuts, the houses around the Drive are awesome, so many lights! Traffic and work are ridiculous though, always so busy and packed!

I've been pretty swamped with work these days, trying to fit everything in. I ask for more hours then complain about it - go figure. But it's good. Swimming too, and I now have a swim buddy! Her name is Amy, she's very nice. I am also going to Victoria next weekend to attend a party hosted by Katie's sister Kristen, who is celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary to her husband Steve. I'm pretty excited as I LOVE Victoria, will definitely take pictures.

Lots of love and holiday wishes to everyone xox

Back to being busy is difficult

My schedule for this week is something like this:

Tomorrow: Coffee with Katie at Prado in the morning, then paying bills and getting some groceries, and then going for a swim.

Thursday: I am free! But no one else is. So...alone time?

Friday: Working 9am-5pm, will probably be very tired, then hanging around the house for a bit with Zoe and Joel and maybe later hanging out with Brad.

Saturday: Working 9am-5pm again and in the evening going to see New Moon with Katie, Zoe and possibly Taeja.

Sunday: Working 8am-4pm...I know, I get the worst possible hours. But it keeps me out of trouble...?

Today I had a girls night with Katie and Taeja. Katie and my dad are doing this cleansing thing for their bodies so they can only eat very specific foods which means, no crazy junk food. But we had fruit smoothies. We watched a really terrible movie called LOVE (and other disasters)...if you see this movie, avoid at all costs. Horrible script, pathetic acting and the storyline was wannabe trendy and cute cliché but really just stupid. Here it is:

Yeah, as soon as I saw Brittany Murphy on the movie poster alarm bells should've gone off...sadly, no.

Thats all the updates you all get for now! Ciao bellas!

I have a job now

This just in................

I am now working at Bread Garden bakery & café! There's a bunch of them around the city, I got a job at one in West Vancouver that has lots of tables and things so I'm going to be working as a bus girl/server type thing. Yeah, I'm nervous, but kind of excited!

...such a relief.

New haircut & more interviews

So LUSH obviously did not work out. But never fear friends and family! I've been at interviews this week and have another one on Monday at the Bread Garden, which is a cafe/lunch sort of place that seems very nice and is looking for full time employees. Sounds good, yes?

And I gave myself a haircut today! Well not totally, but I gave myself bangs. THAT was fun, maybe I've found my true calling in life? Haha jokes. But seriously........ ;)

LUSH employee?

I went to a group interview with LUSH last Sunday - and it was great! People were all very nice, and helpful, and I got a call the next day to come in for a floor trial this Thursday - meaning I am going to spend an hour basically trying it out and then I get the final decision.

Wish me luck! I could be a working girl by the end of the week in one of my favourite stores - how cool is that?

Oh hey ocean!

So I know these were already posted on my facebook but I felt like posting them again for EMPHASIS. Adit and I wandered around this beach - Enlgish Bay - and the weather was perfect. Then nearby we saw the group of 3m tall statues of laughing people, they really make you stop in your tracks. Designed and I think created by chinese artist Yue Minjun called "A-Maze-Ing Laughter." Although...to be totally honest...they're sort of equally incredible AND creepy...

Some interesting buildings 'round here

I went for a walk the other day, and there were pretty BUILDINGS.

Well they weren't exactly "pretty" but they were definitely neat...

PS my stuff arrived from Greyhound finally, very exciting!!
